Autumn:
We are still busy, no matter what time of year, still lots of different things to do and enjoy. Our Captain has described most of the events in his log, why not have a look?
Trafalgar Day Parade 2011
Sunday 23rd October saw three Units parade through Cirencester to celebrate Admiral Lord Nelson’s famous victory at the Battle of Trafalgar on the 21st October 1805, in which he defeated the combined French and Spanish Fleets.
The Navy Training Corps Ensign flew high above the tower of St John the Baptist Church in the centre of the town.
Cadets from Gloucester, Stonehouse and Fairford paraded to the church where a service was held in the presence of the Lord Lieutenant of Gloucestershire Dame Janet Trotter DBE, who after the service took the salute and inspected the Staff and Cadets as well as speaking to parents and friends.
The Cadets must be congratulated on their turnout and drill, and were a credit to their Units and the Corps. Click to view more photos of the parade
Some of the Autumn events we attended:-
- Team building for Wyre Forest, Worcester and Malvern Units – 9th-11th September
- Pledged Plod – 23rd October 2011
