Charlie Cooper – The award Charlie is holding is the Chris Chugwell Trophy. Charlie was the first Navy cadet to be awarded it. She was given the award for her efforts in supporting all the new Units opening in the NTC and overcoming illness.

Unity in the Community – 09/06/10

16th Nov 2011:

The Cadets from TS Victory, were invited to lead the procession of VIP’s to Tudor Grange Academy Awards Evening, held at the Worcester Cathedral on Wednesday 16th November.

Able Cadet Cooper was invited to bear the school standard, and present it to the School Principle at the alter to open up the award ceremony.

The cadets have never done anything like this before, and had only two nights to train for the event. They had only one full rehearsal of the whole event in the cathedral and the nerves were showing !!

The night began with our cadets greeting parents and visitors and handing out programmes and showing people to their seats, and when the VIP’s arrived, they proudly and smartly led the procession into the cathedral, the comments they received afterwards were second to none, they certainly made a very positive impression on all who attended.

I must say I was the proudest person in the Cathedral, watching the cadets overcome their nerves and the sense achievement they all showed was amazing. They are a team in the true sense of the word, keep up the good work, and here’s to next year’s awards evening.

20-22nd April 2012 – Field Training Skills :

The weekend saw Navy Training Corps Marine Cadets practicing their Field Craft Skills at the Corps Training Area in Staffordshire.

Cadets and Staff from Malvern, Worcester and Wednesbury Detachments, along with a prospective new Detachment from Derbyshire all took part in various exercises.
